Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites

On the third Sunday of every month, the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites (OCDS) meets in the parish hall at St. John the Evangelist Church from 11:30 until 4:00pm.

We are a Carmelite group who come from all walks of life and are at many stages of profession in our order. Some of us have made Vows, other Final Profession and others Clothed, while others are invited guests. Each one of us is trying to respond to God's call to "meditate on the Lord's law, day and night" while working, raising families, etc.

We are attached to the Carmelite Monastary in Brighton, MA, where our Provincial Delegate, Fr. Paul Fohlin, OCD resides.
